The inventor of LSD, the chemist Albert Hofmann, has died today at age 102, giving hope to babyboomers worldwide of becoming a centenarian. Hofmann first tripped on LSD in 1943 after he successfully synthesized it in a Swiss laboratory. 102 though? Seriously?

Yeah, the dude took a little himself to see what would happen. He then rode his bicycle through the Swiss countryside… the first every LSD “trip” — which is why we call it a trip. Can’t believe the dude was still alive. I assumed he died years ago!

I’m not sure he took it intentionally. I think he accidentally got some on his finger. And when I say some, I mean a dose multiple times larger than the average person takes. Booyakasha! Rest in Peace genius, Swiss scientist LSD inventor man, you’ve done good for this world. Done real good.
